Roger started his musical studies in piano at the age of four, he only switched to electric bass guitar when he was eleven years old. Since then he has gained a prominent place on the Brazilian instrumental music scene as an outstanding player. Roger is a thumb-slap technique specialist and is considered by many to be one of the best bass players from South America.
Roger has recorded several albums with his brother, guitarist Frank Solari, working as both bass player and composer. In 1996 Roger shared the stage with James Carter and George Clinton at the Free Jazz Festival in his home town of Porto Alegre, Brazil. A Year later he played at the RS Guitar Festival where he played alongside Stanley Jorden. Roger has played with several musicians including: Billy Cobham, Pedro Aznar, Mayan Arthur, Andre Gomes, Carlos Martau, Kiko Freitas, Trevor Murrell, Hille Bemelmans and Torcuato Mariano
Roger has been involved in composing and producing lots of projects including the "L.A.Times" from Los Angeles. He is currently working on his own album and working and playing on several different projects in Spain and Europe.
